With NHL All-Star John Scott
Shortly after John retired from professional hockey, he launched Dropping the Gloves in Traverse City, MI. He wanted a place to share the stories from his career, talk with his former teammates, and comment on stories around the NHL.
Tim started behind the scenes in 2018 with content planning, social media, scheduling guests and more. Before long, John invited him to come on the show and the two never looked back.
Years later, Dropping the Gloves has grown to millions of downloads, hundreds of stories, dozens of interviews, and too many laughs to count. We are grateful for the continued support and look forward to great things to come!

The Hosts
John Scott
John is a retired NHL enforcer who played for the MN Wild, CHI Blackhawks, NY Rangers, SJ Sharks, BUF Sabres, ARI Coyotes, and MTL Canadiens. John lives in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife Danielle and seven beautiful daughters. He doesn’t have a TV, it’s a lifestyle choice.
Tim Wirzburger
Tim is a die-hard hockey fan who serves as producer and co-host of the show. He’s a freelance digital marketer and spends his free time road tripping, reading, and exploring with his dog, Levi. He recently published his debut novel, In Plain Sight. He’s also a Bruins fan, but that never comes up on the show.
